Last Call at the Sublight Lounge

A panel of experts on immersive experience design provide a fascinating recounting both of their own experiences aboard the Galactic Starcruiser Halcyon and their analysis of the depth of the experience and how this raises the bar for all future immersive entertainment design undertakings.

Host Noah Nelson gathers this panel of immersive experience experts:

The panel each had travelled on the Galactic Starcruiser, but not all on the same cruise.

The panel members are first asked to each relate one very special moment for them on the cruise.  Their stories bring the emotion to life that they felt in real moments of human connection with characters, crew, and other passengers on the Halcyon.  The group remarks on the degree to which the performers on the Halcyon bring interactive entertainment to a level that this panel of immersive experience professionals have never seen before in the thousands of immersive experiences they have collectively seen.  We also hear of the passenger culture with little gifts and connections that last beyond the voyage.

The panel then talks about what they believe will be the legacy of the Galactic Starcruiser.  They relate ways that it will reach out into the world and how it has raised the bar and will forever influence and expand the nature of the immersive entertainment industry.  They talk about some of the key elements around human interaction and training for performers and participants of future experiences at all scales.

The group concludes with their belief in the responsibility of the immersive entertainment community to carry forward the kind of experience that was created on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser.
