Creatng the Halcyon Experience

Sara Thacher and Caro Murphy provide an in-depth presentation and discussion of many facets of the creating of the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser experience. In this session that was created while the Starcruiser was still in operation, Sara Thacher covers the design from a story and game design standpoint. Story paths, the order of creation of connections, and some of the mechanics of the different modes of interaction provide insights into the immense complexity of the undertaking and how those complexities are organized. Caro Murphy then delves into many of the techniques in which the actors were trained to ensure guests of all levels of comfort with interaction would be included and able to experience their adventure at their own pace and level of immersion. This session is the best behind the scenes explanation of the development of the experience that we have seen to date.
